An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and competent Safety Officer to join the Health and Safety Team at Aintree University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Qualified to a minimum of NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent, the successful applicant will be responsible for collating and analysing data in relation to the Estates Return Information Collection (ERIC), provide advice and support to colleagues on a wide range of health and safety related topics, and assist in the production, monitoring, review, and implementation of health and safety related policies, procedures, risk assessments and method statements throughout the Trust.

Working with the Health, Safety & Compliance Manager, maintain a detailed and up to date estates risk register and associated action plan, and as delegated, oversee risk validation meetings between Senior Estates and Facilities Managers and update the Trust central risk register producing reports as required. You will work as the lead officer for policy development in specific areas as designated by line manager, you will need good computer, analytical, report writing, organisational, communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work under pressure. You will also need to be able to work flexibly on your own initiative and to strict deadlines.
