Safety, Health & Environment Manager

Safety, Health and Environment Manager required to work within a busy Crane Hire Company to ensure compliance with current legislation, codes of practice, guidelines, industry standards and best available practice.

The role will include facilitating hazard identification, risk assessments processes and implementing any new safe systems of work required, liaising with regulatory bodies, maintaining key documentation, incident/accident investigations, including accident/incident near miss reports.

The safety, Health and Environment Manager will identify opportunities for improvement, implement and improve current systems, identify and address training needs and carry out toolbox talks.

Working alongside the managers and operational teams, the She manager will provide an efficient and effective range of supporting functions in relation to the development/implementation and review of the HSE policies/procedures to ensure compliance.

The SHE manager will challenge and correct any non-standard course of action or potential actions.

Candidates must have as a minimum qualification for this role the NEBOSH General Certificate with TECH IOSH membership as a minimum, however a Diploma Grad IOSH or NVQ 5 OHS are desirable with a NEBOSH Environment Certificate or AIEM. Membership of IOSH is desirable.

Salary and benefits are dependent upon experience and qualifications.

About the Candidate:

You will have experience of working in a heavy construction industry such as demolition, civil engineering or bulk excavation.

Ability to be self-reliant and work with minimal direction.

Live within a commutable distance to our premises.

This is a permanent full-time position.
