Manufacturer in the automotive industry based in Kent are looking for a part-time EHS Advisor 16-20 hours p/w

Your new company
A leading player in the automotive manufacturing industry known internationally, are looking for a part-time EHS advisor to join their team. They offer a variety of products which are manufactured in one of their bases in Kent. They have a long industrial tradition and pride themselves on continual growth with continual transformation and progression with updated knowledge to keep them ahead of the game.

Your new role
This new permanent part-time position will be a job share with another part-time EHS advisor currently working for the client. Between you both, you will function as the EHS advice for the site, to ensure company HSE policies and procedures are communicated to staff, understood by staff and adhered to, fulfilling the goal set by the National EHS Manager of zero harm to people, environment and equipment. On a day to day basis, you will promote and develop a strong safety culture, implement policies and procedures to provide safe business operation, maintain accident statistics, maintain existing OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 management systems, manage the COSHH database and lead on any investigations necessary. You will also be responsible for undertaking in house training for managers and other employees about HSE issues and risks and promote participation in other HSE training initiatives. The role will be for 16-20 hours per week and hours can be flexible dependent on needs.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful you will need to hold a NEBOSH Certificate and have practical experience working within the health & safety field, ideally within manufacturing, but this is not essential. You should have a good knowledge of management systems preferably on the environmental side and be able to develop and deliver training.
