Your new company
A public sector organisation is looking to appoint a Health and Safety Advisor to work at their laboratory facility. You will be responsible for delivering expert advice and direction in relation to chemical and radiation safety.
Your new role
You will be responsible for providing general H&S support to everyone on site and promoting a positive safety culture. You will be reporting into the Health and Safety Director, and you will review Health and Safety policies to ensure a consistent and practical approach. You will be responsible for developing and providing training for all staff, producing reports and action plans and providing expert Health and Safety advice in specialist areas such as chemical and radiological safety.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful you will have amassed a wealth of experience working within a scientific environment and it would be highly advantageous if you have worked with radioactive materials in a research environment. You will have NEBOSH Diploma and a scientific degree or equivalent. You will have good IT skills and have the ability to build working relationships.

You will receive 30 days holiday plus Bank Holidays and organisation closure days (4/5 per year).
