The company are a scientific and medical service provider here in the UK but Globally they are a world class manufacturing organisation. Here in the UK they have 4 UK sales and service offices with over half of their staff out in the field as service engineers. You must be willing to travel circa 50% of the time and this role will ideally be based commutable to Mansfield however flexible home working is on offer.
Although there is some health and safety in place the company want someone to come in and treat it like a blank canvas, identify areas for improvement and work with teams to ensure this is rolled out and embedded over time. They are going for ISO 14001 currently and plan to go for ISO 45001. You will be the subject matter expert, provide training and advice as well as audit and monitor performance. They want clear direction from the successful candidate as to what they need and what is missing or needs improving so someone who is a self-starter and has done something similar before would be fantastic.
Successful Candidate must match the following profile:
NEBOSH Diploma Level Qualified (or equivalent)
You must have a risk profile that includes field based engineers and sales professionals, warehousing and office space.
You will have developed health and safety from scratch in a previous position
ISO systems experience
Someone who is engaging and personable, but also resilient and persistent
Someone who is a strong communicator, passionate, driven and self-motivated – who wants to really throw themselves into the company and the team
