Your new company
This public sector organisation has a wide ranging estate across London with around 15 centrally located sites. The organisation is looking to appoint a Fire Safety Advisor to work within their Health & Safety and Estates team and to lead in managing their fire safety systems. Included in their estates are housing, retail and catering as well as multi-million pound capital projects.
Your new role
This role has the purpose of providing competent fire safety advice and guidance to the Estate and wider organisation. You will be responsible for the fire safety management system including the development and implementation of policies and procedures as well as the delivery of fire safety training, completion of audits, inspections and FRA's and reporting to committee's. FRA's will also need to be completed for any of their events and shows and you will be working on developing new fire safety training courses. You will be acting as the competent person for fire safety on their major building project design reviews and be expected to provide input into fire safety strategies for refurbishments and new build premises.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful for this role you will need to hold the CFPA Diploma in Fire Prevention or Level 4 BTEC Diploma in Fire Safety and the C05 Certificate in Fire Risk Assessment. You will also need to demonstrate suitable experience in both inspection and management of fire safety, ideally within a larger complex organisation. My client is expecting someone with a thorough up to date knowledge of fire safety legislation as well as experience designing and delivering training to a diverse audience.
