With the magnificent moorlands of Dartmoor on the northern edge of the city, some of the best beaches in Europe to the west and with a spectacular waterfront right in its heart, Plymouth has a quality of life that few other cities can match.

Our vision is to become “one of Europe’s most vibrant waterfront cities where an outstanding quality of life is enjoyed by everyone” and through the passion and determination of our politicians, management team and staff we will make a difference for the City and its citizens. We are committed to making Plymouth a great place to live, a great place to visit, a great place for business and a great place to study.

As part of this we care about the health, safety and wellbeing of our staff who work in a variety of settings to deliver our services, including office bases, industrial depots, recycling facilities, public car parks, crematoria, shop front premises, a call centre, community settings, day care facilities, libraries, parks and historic buildings.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the right person to join the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Assurance Team as Wellbeing Specialist to support the delivery of our vision:
‘A Council with an active and embedded health, safety and wellbeing culture, fully compliant with health and safety legislation and guidance’
‘A safe, happy and thriving workforce, able to deliver the Council’s vision and objectives’
If you have a passion for wellbeing at work, and can demonstrate strong leadership and impact in this agenda, we would like to hear from you.

If you would like to discuss this vacancy please contact Clare Cotter (Head of Health, Safety and Wellbeing) on 01752 307006 in the first instance.
