A HSE manager for an engineering company based in Warrington with regional responsibility across the UK.

Your new company
A really large technology/manufacturing organisation based in Warrington. The company design, manufacture supply automation solutions and robotics into manufacturing organisations. The company are leaders in their field and are looking to recruit the UK HSE Manager for a specific arm of their business.

Your new role
As UK HSE Manager you will carry a range of responsibility within the business. Some of the areas are listed below;

Governance and Assurance - including regular reviews with management

Metrics - Collating data and analysing KPI targets and implement actions to further improve

Regulatory Compliance - Ensure company maintain accreditation (ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001). Ensure management team are briefed, trained and empowered to carry out their responsibilities in line with the requirement of the systems. Maintain and further build relations with external bodies such as HSE.

Risk Management - Facilitate the UK Risk Assessments and ensure that all employees are briefed to potential hazards.

Communication and Engagement - Lead a forum of HSE Managers to ensure that all are working to the same objectives and goals. Regular updates to business managers across the country.

Operational Support - Be the driver of behavioural change to continuously improve performance. Plan and initiate any training needs across the business (including contractors)

Budget - Participate in defining the annual budget and manage performance against agreed financials

Projects - Take lead in any HSE projects across the organisation from initial planning stage through to completion.

People Leadership and Development - Ensure areas of responsibility is appropriately organised, skilled an directed and the department is operated within HR guidelines.


What you'll need to succeed
in order to be considered for this role you will have clear, proven experience within a Senior HSE role with strategic responsibility on a regional basis. You will be able to communicate professionally with all levels of stakeholder (internal and external). You will be able to demonstrate where you have driven change inside and organisation to better health and well-being. You will also have clear knowledge of ISO management systems and UK HSE regulations. Electrical safety would also be an advantage.

What you'll get in return
You will be rewarded with a salary between £50-70K, you will be part of a bonus program which will pay up to 20% of annual salary, private healthcare insurance, car/car allowance and more.
