Technical Standards Inspector, Negotiable Day Rate, Birmingham
Your new company
An infrastructure support service provider who operate across the United Kingdom are looking to appoint a Technical Standards Inspector, who will be based in Birmingham, to become part of their Highways Maintenance and Management team. You will be responsible for the inspection and improvement of the highway works' technical compliance, and you will assist the Technical Compliance Manager in the investigation of compliance matters.
Your new role
You will be responsible for ensuring contract compliance, specifically on data quality management issues, as well as delivering accurate reports and complying with Health and Safety legislation. You will undertake the inspection of completed projects, such as carriageway and footway resurfacing, lighting improvement and traffic signal works. You will report into the Operations Manager.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful you will need to have amassed an extensive knowledge in highway construction materials and Codes of Practise, along with HSEA compliance training relevant to the role. You will need to be PHS certified, and hold a valid CSCS card. You will have a good understanding of project management and will be up-to-date with relevant procedures and processes. You will need to be self-motivated and able to perform well under pressure, especially as you will be required to work autonomously.
