Your new company
This Civil Engineering and Utilities contractor are looking to appoint a SHEQ Advisor to join their busy team in the West Midlands. You will be responsible for providing health, safety and environmental advice across the organisation and assisting the SHEQ Manager in the implementation of the Health Safety Environment Management system.
Your new role
You will be responsible for promoting a positive health and safety culture across the business. You will need to proactively identifying risks and propose appropriate solutions to ensure these risks are dealt with adequately. You will develop policies and procedures that will provide health, safety and environmental advice to the business, and conduct incident investigations to ensure that future incidents can be prevented. You will also be required to provide coaching to staff across all levels of the organisation. You could also be required to deputise for the SHEQ Manager when required.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will need NEBOSH General or NEBOSH Construction, you will need to be a Technical member of IOSH working towards your Graduate level. You will need to have a construction and/or utilities background, experience in a similar role is desirable. Also you will need to be a pro-active and passionate health, safety and environmental professional who has a knack for building strong working relationships across the business.
What you'll get in return
