SENIOR HEALTH AND SAFETY OFFICER
Based across 3 locations, Glasgow Clyde College is looking for an experienced candidate to drive forward our Health and Safety provision and deliver an effective and flexible advisory service. As a member of the Organisational Development Team you will be customer focussed, using negotiation and tact to enable safe working and help deliver the College’s safety goals.
Responsible to the Organisational Development Manager your role will be to provide safety advice and support and to monitor safety by means of audit and inspection. You will supervise the Health and Safety Officer and through excellent communication and engagement skills will lead the work of the team in co-ordinating and promoting Health and Safety across the College, ensuring compliance with legislation and delivering relevant training to College staff.
The successful candidate will have a Health and Safety Management Qualification, NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) and hold an up to date First Aid Qualification. Whist experience in an educational environment is not essential it will be considered beneficial.

The College offer and support various training and development opportunities and provide a generous annual leave entitlement of 31 days, increasing to 33 through service accrual, plus 14 public holidays. The standard hours of work are Monday to Friday 8.45am – 4.45pm however a flexitime system is in operation.

Location: Anniesland Campus however you will be required to travel and work within all Glasgow Clyde College campuses
