Social Housing Provider with large footprint across London are looking for a Senior Health & Safety Officer

Your new company
This social housing provider with large footprint across London and the South East pride themselves on regenerating communities and developing neighbourhoods. Their aims include creating quality affordable housing and combining social and commercial aspects to create pride in their homes and communities. Within their Maintenance and Corporate Health & Safety team they are looking to add an experienced Senior Health & Safety officer to continue providing guidance throughout the organisation.

Your new role
This interesting and challenging new role will give you the responsibilities on designing and implementing policies, providing professional health & safety guidance and supporting risk management. You will take the lead Health & Safety position for the Maintenance side of the business which will include monitoring compliance, training and building on staff engagement. You will be tasked with implementing audit programmes and introducing and cementing best practice across the maintenance division.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be a strong applicant for this position you will need to hold a Level 6 qualification for example a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent. You will need to be able to demonstrate experience within health & safety ideally within the construction or maintenance sectors. You will need to be verse with delivering safety messages and have a strong hands-on approach to achieving a positive safety culture. It is also essential that you are a qualified driver within the UK and currently own a car or mode of transport.
