A Senior Health & Safety Advisor to join a successful housing association based in Portsmouth.

Your new role
As Senior Health and Safety Advisor, you will report to the Head of SHEQ and be based in Portsmouth. This is a mobile role covering multiple locations in Hampshire. You must hold a Full UK Driving Licence and have your own vehicle to travel to other sites, but you can claim mileage at 45p/mile to HMRC guidelines. Working hours: 37/week, Monday-Friday (8am-5pm).
Key purpose of the role:
You will take the lead on all areas of health & safety (H&S), primarily within the repairs division. You'll make sure the business is always compliant with H&S legislation, company procedures and best practice, ensuring that everyone understands their obligations when it comes to H&S requirements. You will build strong relationships with internal & external customers, reassuring them that the assessment of construction & maintenance related H&S risks are well managed and controlled.
What you'll need to succeed
You must be an approachable, forward-thinking individual who is keen to develop your Health and Safety career. You will hold a NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate, preferably with a NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent). You must have a background in a similar role, ideally within property maintenance, building services (FM), construction or engineering. A good knowledge of CDM regulations will be an advantage too.
