As Safety Assurance Manager, you’ll join our busy Safety Team in a challenging but
rewarding environment where you’ll focus on reducing risk exposure, providing
strategic direction and guidance, and managing and maintaining our safety and
operational risk profile, register and audit programme.
Day to day, you’ll also advise on the practical application of safety legislation and
industry standards, and you’ll work closely with industry stakeholders, including
frontline colleagues, line and senior managers, trade union representatives,
regulatory inspectors, other operators, as well as relevant external industry and non-
So, you’ll need to be a qualified and experience Lead Auditor with a NEBOSH
general certificate and a proven background within a risk management environment,
ideally within the rail industry. You’ll have the skills to translate complex legislation,
data, guidance and agreements into practical information, and the ability to analyse
data and produce accurate reports, often to tight deadlines.
