An opportunity has arisen for an individual with a science, engineering or technical background who is looking to start or change their career path using their knowledge and experience in a safety related role at a prestigious central London university.
King’s College London is a large multi-campus, multi-faculty research led University with close links to three London NHS Foundation Trusts. The University wishes to appoint a Safety Advisor (Infrastructure).
The role holder will be working within a central team of safety professionals in the development of systems and processes to monitor and report upon the university’s safety performance.
The role holder will develop their health, safety and fire safety knowledge in order to provide advice, support and contribute towards the development of risk-based safety management and risk assessment programmes and training with emphasis on infrastructure and fire safety.
The role requires the post holder to develop their understanding and experience of the practical application and implementation of infrastructure and fire safety arrangements within a complex environment with buildings ranging from heritage through to modern across university and hospital campuses. The applicants will need experience of using IT tools for data analysis and authoring of various documentation relating to infrastructure and fire safety.
The selection process will include a panel interview (including a case study to assess analysis and presentation of information and a poster to demonstrate knowledge application).
