A regional H&S officer for a food distribution organisation based in Liverpool. Permanent position. Up to £40K

A leading fresh food distribution company based in Liverpool with multiple sites across the UK. The organisation are looking to add a regional H&S officer to the team.
Your new role
In your new role you will be required to visit and work with a number of sites, many of them commutable from Liverpool but some would require overnight stays. You will be supporting each branch to fully implement risk assessments and SSOW. You will also advise each site in relation to fire safety and fire procedures. You will monitor each site for H&S and food safety training requirements and contribute towards delivering this. You will assist the technical manager in assuring that all sites remain BRC certified and that management systems are maintained and updated. You will also be liaising with external authorities from time to time.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be qualified to NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent and have experience in an organisation such as distribution and warehousing. Ideally you will be able to deliver manual handling training. BRC or Food Safety trained would be beneficial as would some form of fire safety training.
