This company have just been bought over but a large PLC and through strong leadership and overdue investment, they require an experienced HSEQ advisor, officer or coordinator who is happy to come in and roll their sleeves up to improve things across the health, safety environment and quality department.
Although this is a standalone role you will have the support from a sister site and the H&S manager there as well as regular quarterly HSE meetings within the group. This role would could be great for an experienced coordinator who is ready for a change or who is currently reporting into a manger but now wants a standalone role.
This role is a mixture of getting the basics right, getting all HSEQ systems, processes and procedures up to speed, drive accountability, be a visible presence on the shop floor, improve and monitor the training matrix etc. You will monitor and improve selected KPIs, investigate accidents and near misses, ensuring everyone is confident in their responsibilities. They also want to go for their ISO 9001 and 14001 accreditation which you will take the lead on.
Successful candidate will have:
• NEBOSH Certificate
• Manufacturing/ Engineering experience
• Experience driving KPI's (creating KPI's desirable)
• ISO / IMS experience (ISO 14001 and/or 9001 Lead Auditor desirable)
• Design and manage the training matrix
• Driving Licence
• Diplomatic, pragmatic problem solver
• Strong communicator
• Organised and good at using the Microsoft packages
• Someone with a get up and go attitude, self-motivated and driven
