A leading specialist Health & Safety consultancy is seeking an HSE Technical Writer based from their offices in central London. The ideal candidate will have a mixture of Health & Safety and Marketing experience, or will have come from a role with a high emphasis on writing content. They will be responsible for authoring and updating key HSE products within the organisations's digital content and information, as well as the wider group. 


The Role:

  • Research and author update work on the HSE products as appropriate, i.e. updating tools including audit and risk assessment 
  • Preparing online and events training materials (audio, slides and notes) and contributing articles for online and magazine products, news updates, e-alerts and social media to raise external profile
  • Discussing technical updates with expert authors and assisting the HSE Content Manager and Health & Safety Development Editor with reviewing externally produced authoring work
  • Providing insight to other team members maintaining health and safety information and legislation on the company's products

The Candidate:

  • Will hold the NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent, therefore, having a strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation and compliance
  • Must have proven written skills, including the ability to convey complex themes in an accessible way to a variety of audiences with varying levels of expertise
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, Word and IT skills
  • Interest in digital content
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with confidence in helping clients
