An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Bath & North East Somerset Council at a time of significant change and modernisation.
As Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager, you will have a lead role in the development and delivery of a strong and robust Health, Safety and Wellbeing strategy and culture, working in partnership with the Chief Executive and wider leadership team to ensure a consistent and professional approach to the management of health, safety and wellbeing across the Council.
The postholder will lead and manage the team to deliver an effective health, safety and wellbeing service. You will need to be comfortable working collaboratively across boundaries, actively tapping into existing networks and building new long term relationships particularly with colleagues in critical health and safety roles (such as waste, highways and property) to deliver on the things that matter most. You will also lead the development of a new approach to health and safety by co-ordinating and promoting the Council’s wellbeing initiatives to managers and staff.
You will need to be a Chartered Member of IOSH with significant experience of advising leaders and managers on a range of complex, sensitive and multi-disciplinary health, safety and wellbeing issues in a medium to large organisation.
