Interim Health & Safety Officer | 6 months | Cheshire | Civil Engineering Contractor

An established civil engineering and ground works contractor who pride themselves on delivering innovative and high-quality projects to their client base are currently looking for a motivated Health & Safety Officer to support a couple of their sites based across Cheshire, initially for a period of 6 months.
Your new role
As a Health & Safety Officer, you will work alongside the management team to mitigate risk and promote a safety-first culture on site. Key responsibilities will include; Site audits / inspections, toolbox talks, site inductions, progress reports and providing advice and support on Health & Safety matters. Although based in the North West initially, their strong pipeline of work could entail travel across the UK and permanent employment.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have a passion for safety and demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively across all levels. You will have strong and up to date knowledge of current Health & Safety policies and legislation alongside high attention to detail. You must hold a NEBOSH certificate as a minimum and have previous experience conducting site audits and inspections.
