The Health and Safety Officer is responsible for the effective and efficient management of health and safety matters with due regard to appropriate legislation, including: policy implementation, monitoring and inspection; risk assessment; delivery of training and promoting a positive health and safety culture.
The successful applicant will have significant previous experience within a similar health and safety role and will ideally hold a NEBOSH Diploma. They must be an effective communicator and be able to influence and use their own initiative. A flexible ‘can do’ attitude is also essential, as is the ability to provide the very best level of service to all staff, pupils and other stakeholders.
