An exciting opportunity for a proactive and engaging Health and Safety Manager to join a highly successful Fit Out/Installations company.  Essentially commutable to central London to provide Health and Safety support across a range of exciting high profile and prestigious projects.

The ideal candidate will possess a proactive and solutions-oriented approach and will work closely with Clients, Site Managers and teams on site across London instilling a positive safety approach. A good knowledge of behavioural safety is desirable.

You will be required to maintain regular contact with clients and estimating teams during the tender stage creating a working method that is both practicable and cost sensitive and wholly supporting personnel safety and compliance. Undertaking audits, method statements, risk assessments, tool-box talks and protecting and maintaining the zero accident/harm record will form part of this important role.

Essentially the successful candidate will be required to ensure that the companies Health and Safety policies and systems are continually implemented and maintained. 

You must have worked previously within high profile fit-out / refurbishments projects and highlight this experience within your CV.  Ideally a background in the trades; installation, joinery, partitioning.

Essential skills include: 

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proven ability to influence and challenge.
  • An ability to develop and implement H&S and QMS strategies for monitoring performance.
  • Experience of the legal requirements of CDM 2015, Fire and Asbestos regulations.
  • Detailed knowledge of HSE legislation.
  • Proven track record of managing a team.
  • Flexibility to hours as there may be the occasional project which will require out of hours or weekend attendance.

The successful candidate will hold a minimum of a Nebosh Construction and or NCRQ equivalent and essentially have fit-out/refurbishment experience.
