As H&S Manager you’ll work proactively to ensure a strong H&S culture that keeps staff, contractors, residents, customers and the public safe on all Raven property and land, associated public areas, and managed housing stock and offices. You’ll seek out and advise on best practice and legislative changes in H&S and compliance – driving and delivering an action/improvement plan, auditing and checking, ensuring effective, up-to-date training is in place across the organisation, and leading and coordinating other staff as appropriate. You will  lead the Health and Safety Committee, coordinate the Fire Warden and First Aider programme, undertake accident and incident management and investigations, act as a liaison point with Authorities including HSE, LA’s and emergency services and ensure effective document management and control.

With a track record of delivering business change, you should have strong experience in H&S management, preferably in a social housing context and certainly including knowledge of the housing/landlord/construction/maintenance environment. You’ll also have relevant qualifications, such as CMIOSH or NEBOSH NVQ level 4 or equivalent, and/or a willingness to progress via CPD. You’ll need to be highly proficient in IT, demonstrate excellent communication, report writing and project management skills and excellent attention to detail. In this role you will need to have a full UK driving licence and reliable own means of transport.
