HSE Recruitment are currently exclusively working with a company on the recruitment of a Health and Safety Manager for an initial 18 month contract based out of the West Midlands.

As a Health and Safety Manager you will be responsible for 40 sites across the Midlands, working closely with an additional manager, and will be responsible for supporting the company in providing continuous improvement across their Health, Safety and Well being strategy. You will work closely with the team and site leaders to implement change in a business that has traditionally been very reactive - to enable them to create a more proactive environment. You will be engaging and forward thinking, and will be able to identify key areas for improvement to enhance the working environment, and ensure the best possible standards of safety.
Ideally you will have previously worked in a management position where you have developed and implemented change. Experience in a public sector environment would be advantageous, but more important is the right attitude and approach to safety. You will have a minimum of NEBOSH Certificate, although Diploma or equivalent would be desirable.
