An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Health & Safety Manager, working for Bournemouth Building & Maintenance Limited. BBML is a BCP Council owned trading company which provides building services solely to the Council
This is a varied role, working across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, overseeing a wide range of activity and projects for BBML and also BCP Council’s In-House Building Maintenance Team, Construction Works Team and Seascape South Limited.
BBML and BCP Council’s In-House Building Maintenance Team deliver maintenance works to the councils housing stock and corporate buildings. The Construction Works Team look after many larger construction projects for the Council, such as delivery of aspects of the Councils ambitious Seafront Strategy to develop the world class, award winning seafront. Seascape South Limited is a part of BCP Council’s Seascape Group Limited and delivers building and maintenance works to the private sector.
The Health & Safety Manager is a key role within our operation, responsible for the successful delivery of leading and imbedding a comprehensive H&S culture of the highest standard, whilst ensuring operations are delivered in a safe and compliant way, adhering to current H&S Legislation.
The successful applicant will hold a NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent and ideally be a Chartered or Graduate Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health. Applicants will also demonstrate a track record of working in a property/construction environment as a building and construction Health & Safety specialist. You will have an extensive knowledge and practical application of CDM across a broad building and construction related sector.
Working 39hrs per week, you will be based at our office in Dalling Road, Poole but will be required to visit and inspect sites across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, providing advice to our team of building professionals. Therefore, applicants must hold a full UK driving licence.
