An exciting opportunity has arisen for two permanent posts within the Corporate Safety, Health and Wellbeing Team as a Corporate Health and Safety Officer. The role of an advisor is to provide a professional, practical and comprehensive advisory and support service for the council.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career in Health and Safety. The role will often be demanding, so you'll need to be able to juggle competing demands and be self-motivated. We have ambition to continually improve what we do, working in partnership with managers, employees, trade unions and our Staff-Led Groups to achieve long lasting, cultural impact.
You will be technically skilled in health and safety and will have a recognised Occupational Health and Safety Qualification (NEBOSH certificate, Level 3 TUC Diploma or equivalent). Along with an excellent working knowledge of the relevant legislation you'll be an excellent communicator, experienced at establishing and maintaining strong relationships, and bringing clients and partner organisations together to achieve common outcomes.
