Taking a corporate approach to health and safety you will be responsible for developing and monitoring implementation of the Councils’ policies and procedures as well as dealing with the reactive aspects of health and safety, such as incident/accident investigation.
As a highly motivated individual and someone who thrives on a variety of challenges, sensible risk management should be your motto. To succeed in this role you will have, or working towards Graduate IOSH status, be an excellent communicator and build effective relationships with our Services Managers.
Committed to continuous improvement, you will provide support and guidance on health and safety issues and create an environment where health and safety is at the heart of everything we do.
Whilst the post is currently advertised as part time there is the possibility of an exciting opportunity to become full time working closely with another Local Authority.
