St Mungo’s is a registered housing association and charity providing accommodation and support services for homeless and other disadvantaged people, many of whom have complex support needs including mental health and substance misuse. The Health and Safety team’s activities are vital to the safety and recovery of our clients so your work will make a real difference to helping change lives. Meeting and interacting with our clients on a regular basis, you will:
- Carry out health and safety audits and inspections;
- Deliver training to managers and staff;
- Provide a high quality and responsive advisory service to St Mungo’s across all services and residential properties.
You will be passionate about health and safety, have a really good command of detail, and be flexible and able to manage multiple priorities. You will be customer focused and have a track record of building great working relationships with a variety of people. You will either be a qualified Health and Safety professional, or have equivalent practical experience. You will also have an understanding of the kinds of health and safety challenges which may arise in an organisation working with vulnerable people who may exhibit challenging behavior.
