Our Head Office site is pretty special, with over 100 of us working out of converted historic buildings, in over 100 acres of the great outdoors. Lunchtimes provide the opportunity for running, cycling, taking a walk, playing football/ rugby/rounders and there are at least two organised ‘work outs’ each week. There are good options for lunch out - country pubs, farm shop, garden centre and The Mall Cribbs Causeway is only a five-minute drive away. The purpose of the role
The Health and Safety Advisor will be responsible for the timely delivery, accuracy, recording and filing of health and safety information. They will also have responsibility for the production, reviewing and editing of health and safety documentation, ensuring quality and accuracy and providing health and safety advice to company employees on an individual and project basis, promoting company health and safety policies, initiatives and best practice.
Core job functions:
- Provide health and safety advice to members of Hydrock
- Produce, review, edit, and approve health and safety documentation
- Analysis, review and update health and safety databases, including sub-contractor vetting
- Inspection and audit of site investigation projects and Hydrock offices
- Delivery of health and safety training.
The role will also involve travelling to projects around the UK, resulting in some overnight stays in accommodation.
The person we seek:
- NEBOSH National or Construction Certificate
- Minimum two years’ experience working in health and safety, within construction sector
- Strong IT skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated team player with good people skills.
- Construction or remediation management experience
- NEBOSH Diploma.
