Head of HSEQ role within a growing Construction company. Hertfordshire, salary up to £65K
Your new company
Our client is a medium-size company operating mainly in Construction for Civil and Infrastructure sectors. With a number of project throughout the UK, they are leading their own market. Due to a growth of the business they are currently looking for a Head of QHSE.
Your new role
The principle function of this position is to ensure the company's Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental policies are implemented consistently across the company.
Reporting directly to the Operations Director, your duties on daily basis will include to provide support and guidance on SHEQ matters throughout the business, to ensure that an audit and mentoring regime is devised, implemented and effectively provides the focus for verification of SHEQ policies, to conduct Internal Audits, assessments and inspections to verify effective implementation and conformance to legislation, standards and IMS with its policies, processes and procedures, to maintain the company's ISO9001, ISO14001, OHSAS18001, to influence at all levels and develop relationships to develop a positive SHEQ culture within the business.
Initially, this position will be stand alone with the opportunity to build up a team.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will have a minimum of NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent and ideally a Graduate Membership of IOSH, or CMIOSH. You will have also a previous experience in a similar role within a large company operating within the Construction industry, ideally in the Groundwork sector.
