National home-based role
Salary £60,000 + local government pension scheme + additional benefits
REAch2 academy is the largest primary-only academy trust in the country which prides themselves on the values of learning, leadership, enjoyment, inclusion, inspiration, responsibility and integrity. Supporting 55 primary academies in England, they are a charitable organisation who are growing by the day.
They are looking to appoint a Head of Health and Safety to work across the academy trust, supporting all schools, pupils and teachers, promoting a positive health and safety culture throughout. You will be responsible for drafting and implementing policy and procedures, developing effective safety management systems, carrying out and reviewing risk assessments and developing a behavioural safety programme, with a large emphasis and focus on wellbeing.
As Head of Health & Safety you will be able to hit the ground running and quickly immerse yourself within the REAch2 academy ethos and culture. Previous experience within a start-up role would be ideal, however not essential. You can expect hands on support from head teachers, teachers, maintenance surveyors, a health and safety coordinator and a qualified health and safety trustee.
This role will suit a personable, adaptable Health & Safety professional whose core values are putting young people’s priorities and safety first.
You will hold Nebosh general and either be Grad IOSH or CMIOSH status as a minimum.
