An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Head of Compliance for a public sector organisation. Taking ownership for the compliance safety of residential property, you will be responsible for the procurement, delivery and management of maintenance contracts, safety inspections and remedial works programmes to ensure the organisation meets its legal obligations as well as helping to determine future strategies
You will be ensuring policies and procedures are regularly reviewed and updated and ensure there is an effective system in place for reporting of compliance. A key responsibility will be to lead in ensuring that compliance budget setting, financial management and control processes maximise the organisation's ability to comply with regulations as well as being responsible for responding to claims against the organisation.
You will support the Head of Asset Management in ensuring the organisation has robust arrangements in place for the collection and storage of data in relation to housing stock.
You will act as the competent person for safety matters including fire, lifts, asbestos, electrical installations, legionella, gas, CDM, electrics.
Skills and Qualifications needed:
You will ideally be CMIOSH and must have detailed knowledge of Health and Safety legislation applicable to residential accommodation. You will have experience of managing safety inspection processes and procedures across residential housing portfolios and have experience in detailed risk assessments in fire, asbestos and gas. You must be able to demonstrate you can work with internal and external stakeholders and have experience of managing contracts and budgets.
