Your new company
An international manufacturing company that specialise in sustainable packaging products. The organisation have a very stable background from starting in the early 1900's with 6 employees to the company they are today with over 10,000. The company have good strong orders moving forward and have acquired a number other small packaging companies over recent years to become the dominant name in the packaging industry.
Your new role
As H&S manager you will be responsible for a number of areas. You will report directly into site manager with a dotted line into a European H&S director. In a nutshell you will be responsible for ensuring that all legislation is adhered to in respect to H&S and that company policies and procedures are followed. You will plan, implement, monitor and review the protective and preventative measures and will work closely with other site management to minimise/eliminate losses, accidents and injuries.
You will need to be able to balance your workload to ensure that the H&S strategy is being implemented whilst remaining operational. You will be responsible for liaising and building relationships with external bodies such as HSE and Utilities and also internal stakeholders.
What you'll need to succeed
You must have worked within the manufacturing sector, ideally packaging or food manufacturing in a H&S management position to apply. You will be qualified to NEBOSH General (or equivalent). You will be a confident, yet approachable manager. You should hold at least 3 years management experience.

You will be rewarded with a salary up to £52K, dependent on experience. You will be given the autonomy to manage your own department but have the support form a global function if required. You will also rewarded with a number of other company benefits.
