Working in a modern newly refurbished COMAH site within a scientific chemical environment. This is the perfect opportunity for an Environmental, Health and Safety professional to join a challenging environment working with the latest technology.
The successful candidate must have experience in environmental permitting and Process Safety preferably with a background in any of the following; Chemical / Food / Pharmaceutical / Oil & Gas. The site is a Top Tier COMAH site with a huge emphasise on Process Safety so all candidates MUST have experience in this area.
You will be educated to degree level with NEBOSH Certificate in Health and Safety as a minimum. It is desirable to be a Chartered Member of IOSH (CMIOSH). With 3 years minimum experience at management level and to be a qualified as a Lead Auditor.
As the Environmental, Health and Safety Advisor you will be responsible for collating and reporting accidents under (RIDDOR) and ensuring IPPC compliance whilst carrying out training, assessing and inductions with employees at all levels of the business. You will maintain good effective liaisons with all stakeholders with respect to all EHS responsibilities.
You must be a team player with the ability to provide leadership where needed and have the ability to challenge senior management. Behavioural safety is another important focus for the business and any experience in this area would be beneficial.
