Your new company
Your new organisation is part of a global business but operates in the North West from two different sites. The organisation provides treatment to a range of catering equipment and uses a process that has a lot of process similar to a manufacturing site.
Your new role
As EHS Supervisor you will be a person with a can do attitude. The organisation operates out of two sites within the north west so you must be prepared to travel in between these. You will work heavily in shop floor areas to provide a presence from the H&S department to encourage safer practices. Your role will be varied but you will be continually developing a number of areas including SSOW, RAMS, audits, inspections, toolbox talks, management systems maintenance, incident reporting and investigations and reporting back to senior management.
What you'll need to succeed
You will either need to be in an EHS management role now or at senior advisor level looking for that next step. Due to their being some chemicals used on site you will also need some form or recognised environmental certification such as IEMA or 14001 auditing certificate. You will have a minimum of 5 years experience within H&S and this should predominantly be within a manufacturing/process environment. You will be comfortable communicating at senior level such as directors of the company and external bodies such as HSE. You will be qualified to NEBOSH general as a minimum.
You must be someone who enjoys being on the shop floor and operational whilst having the ability to contribute to the strategy of the department.
