A leading global chemical manufacturer providing a range of technologically advanced products. They have different divisions across the UK and this role is for an EHS Manager in their site near Cambridge. You will be looking after their manufacturing, warehousing and office sites.
Your new role
In your new position as an EHS Manager you will be managing a small team and leading on all EHS areas and regulations. You will make a part of the Senior Leadership Team and will be required to act both strategically and operationally where needed. Some of the day to day responsibilities may include:
- Planning, Coordinating, Monitoring and Implementing EHS policies and procedures
- Ensuring compliance
- Representing EHS with third parties including local councils and regulatory bodies
- Proactively developing a 'Zero Harm' Strategy
- Supporting line management in implementing changes
- Providing guidance and training
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful you will need to hold the NEBOSH Certification or NEBOSH Diploma (equivalent) with a strong EHS management record. Experience working with 14001 and 45001 would also be highly desirable. You will need to have a positive outlook on safety and have good influencing and communication skills. Ideally my client is looking for someone who is proactive with a 'can-do' attitude.
What you'll get in return
As well as a basic salary of £50-54k you will also receive a guaranteed bonus, private healthcare, generous pension contribution scheme and a potentially additional annual bonus.
