YOUR NEW COMPANY
A leading FM provider is looking for a EHS Lead to be fully embedded with a multinational healthcare organisation. The purpose of this role is to is to oversee and continually improve the company EHS management systems for the contract, ensuring compliance to legal and other requirements.

YOUR NEW ROLE
Reporting directly to the QHSE Lead you will be responsible for:

  • Manage a team of EHS people and have experience of doing this to an acceptable level and being able to demonstrate that.
  • Maintain an up to date knowledge of legislation and codes of practice applicable to the company's business.
  • Ensure Operational managers and personnel have the appropriate technical competence to work safely by the identification and provision of formal training needs.
  • Provide advice and guidance to clients, account directors and assurance groups
  • Ensure client, account directors and assurance groups are aware of their legal and company responsibilities.
  • Attend Regional and National meetings as required to represent the EHS agenda.
  • In conjunction with the QHSE Director establish and maintain the Regional EHS forums to enable engagement and communication with employees.
  • Where required in consultation with line manager liaise with relevant enforcing authorities.
  • Continuously develop the capabilities of the regional EHS teams raising their knowledge and skill levels.
  • Maintain an up to date knowledge of legislation and codes of practice applicable to the company's business.
  • Attend performance appraisals and work to agreed personal improvement and development plans.
  • With the ability to carry out regular reviews with the teams and create personal development plans as appropriate.
  • Attend relevant training courses as part of personal development needs and meeting changing business needs

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
To be the successful candidate for this highly sort after position, it is essential that you have experience as a Health & Safety professional experience across the FM or Pharmaceutical sector. You will need to have a NEBOSH Diploma as a minimum (or working towards it).

WHAT YOU'LL GET IN RETURN
You'll be offered up to £50,000 salary plus company car or car allowance and other benefits.
