The Derby College Group is a large and well-established provider of further education based in and around Derby with a wide and very varied range of offering. The Role

As DCG’s competent person, you will be responsible for providing expert health and safety advice and guidance helping to ensure that we provide a safe, healthy and secure environment for our students, employees, visitors and contractors.

Reporting to the Director of Estates, this key role offers the opportunity to guide and further develop DCG’s safety culture and take responsibility for the continuous promotion of good practice and compliance throughout our organisation.

If of interest, there is scope within this role to also take the lead on or significantly contribute to the work we are undertaking on our environmental practices.

The Person

You will be a Health and Safety professional with experience of taking lead responsibility for Health and Safety preferably within a multi- site operation.

You will be tenacious and have a collaborative and pro-active approach, with the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. You will be a persuasive communicator, with strong organisational, IT and people skills.
