Following a period of organizational and functional orientation within RPC Bramlage Division, (44 operations in 18 countries), you will replace the current Manager who will retire in 2018. The purpose of this high-profile position, which reports to the H&S/Business Improvement Director, is to continue leading the transformation of the Health & Safety culture in a large, diverse and rapidly growing Company.
The role will involve integrating and co-ordinating H&S systems and activity across the Division by overseeing and providing practical support to Plant Leaders and site Health & Safety Co-Ordinators, including the management of audit programmes (Willis Blue Standards),), conducting compliance inspections, preparing resulting action plans and communicating the latest legal requirements to the sites. Overall you will become responsible for the proactive development of the H&S function by driving best practice, with an increased focus on behavioral safety initiatives, maintaining high levels of communication with the sites. The position will require travel, mostly in Europe but with some travel to Asia and the Americas.
Candidates will be of Degree caliber with NEBOSH Diploma qualifications and an in-depth knowledge of OHSAS 18001 & ISO 14001 and an awareness of the forthcoming ISO45001. With relevant senior H&S experience, gained in a progressive, (Lean/Six Sigma/WCM), high volume, multi-site, international manufacturing environment, the ability to converse in more than one language, other than English would be useful, ideally German, French or Italian. Candidates must able to work with a high level of autonomy, have a flexible approach and the ability to analyze data and form conclusions for review with management teams to continually drive and enhance RPC’s, already high, H&S performance and develop a CI, best practice culture.
