The Role:

We currently have the opportunity to recruit a Business SHEQ Coach to our team. This role is a new vacancy and will report in to our National SHEQ Manager.

The Successful Business SHEQ Coach will be responsible for:

  • Acting as a day-to-day point of contact for the SHEQ department giving advice and guidance on ‘technical’/ complex SHEQ related matters;
  • Coaching and developing our regional SHEQ Advisors to help them enhance support to their respective regions;
  • Inspiring, influencing and coaching managers and supervisors to help them develop a positive and proactive SHEQ culture within their areas of responsibility;
  • Monitoring the activities of the SHEQ Advisors and key business regions, ensuring we achieve national consistency throughout entire business;
  • Developing and communicating promotional content relating to SHEQ and general SHEQ Communications;
  • Taking a lead role in the ‘technical’/ complex aspects of SHEQ related Projects;
  • Working with the National SHEQ Manager in the development and communication of SHEQ related policies and procedures;
  • Overseeing and monitoring key activities within the Health and Safety and Environmental management systems
  • Play a leading role in quality, process or continuous improvement related projects/ initiatives;
  • Chairing and attending meetings at all levels relating to SHEQ and continuous improvement (both internal and external)

The Successful Business SHEQ Coach will have/ be:

  • Significant and demonstrable experience playing an integral role in businesses who achieve highly effective health, safety, environment and quality performance;
  • NEBOSH Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health and Safety Management;
  • Chartered Member of IOSH (CMIOSH);
  • Ability to influence and motivate others;
  • Demonstrable experience of utilising coaching style to motivate change (coaching qualification would be advantageous);
  • ISO Management System experience;
  • Commercial awareness;
  • Self-motivated individual with the ability to plan workload;
  • Ability to work effectively on an individual basis or as part of a team;
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively and build rapport at all levels;
  • Computer literate;
  • Full UK driving licence;
  • Willing to travel throughout UK.

The successful Business SHEQ Coach will command:

  • A base salary of £38,500 - £42,000
  • Management bonus of 20%
