An Assistant PD/CDM Consultant to join a specialist consultancy who cover the south, based in Winchester.

Your new role
As Assistant Principal Designer/CDM Consultant (and health and safety filer), you will report to a Partner and the CDM Manager in the Winchester office. You will work on a wide variety of challenging and interesting projects covering many different construction sectors throughout the UK. This is a mobile role so a Full UK Driving Licence is essential. Working hours: 37.5/week, Monday-Friday.
This role ensures that the business provide a first class health and safety consultancy service to all their clients.
- Keep abreast of health and safety matters relevant to the success of the practice.
- Ensure that the work for which they are responsible is properly and efficiently completed.
- Assist the CDM Manager and undertake Principal Designer and CDM duties
(as defined by the Construction Design and Management regulations 2015), including site visits,
preparation of the pre-construction documentation and F10's.
- Prepare/compile CDM health & safety files and other health & safety documentation for clients, contractors
- Attend design meetings, site meetings and carry out site inspections.
What you'll need to succeed
You must be a proactive, self-motivated person with a flexible approach. In addition, you need to possess strong organisational and communication skills.
A NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate is essential, ideally with a NEBOSH Diploma/equivalent too (or working towards). You must have some experience in a construction-related field or a HNC/HND.

This position offers a market-leading salary between £25,000-£35,000 (DOE), 22 days holiday + BH's (increases to 25 on service), pension, life insurance and mileage can be claimed to 45p. Flexible working is also available.
