Health and Safety Trainer

To help keep its staff safe, the force is looking for a high calibre, enthusiastic and motivated health and safety trainer to join the team.

Within this varied role, you will provide training on a variety of subject areas and environments for staff at all levels up to senior management. As well as officers, you will train support staff within call handling and catering environments and scenes of crime and forensic experts.

Your day-to-day duties will include:

• Preparing, designing, and delivering training and development sessions
• Support and advise individual learners
• Develop individuals and teams to enhance performance
• Manage the welfare needs of individuals
• Conduct health and safety risk assessments
• Monitor compliance with health and safety policy

You will have:

• A minimum of NEBOSH Certificate
• A nationally recognised adult teaching qualification
• Membership of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health
• The potential to attain a Trainers Development Programme Certificate
• Excellent communication skills
• The ability to work as part of a team to achieve organisations goals
