Our client has adopted a growth strategy for its Energy Business, requiring an ongoing supply of new contracts, from both existing and new clients in each of the Energy Business sectors and services, i.e. Power, Upstream, Downstream and Inspection. Making successful proposals and tendering is a challenging endeavour, particularly when operating in these business sectors and markets. Whilst one of the primary responsibilities of the position is, therefore, the coordination, preparation and follow-up of effective proposals and tenders, the position offers much more, including client interaction, attention to service delivery, responding to client queries and marketing. The position carries a significant degree of both authority and responsibility, and as such a key performance indicator will be the proposals success rate. The successful candidate will also be expected to influence continuous improvement in the bid process and other business development activities. The role involves assessing complex problems for internal/external clients where the parameters are not well defined and to determine solutions, often where previous experience does not provide any precedent. Degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline or in business studies or related field. Knowledge of contracting strategies, proposals/tender preparation, Commercial & Legal awareness. |
