HSE Manager

Our client is the global market leader in their field. The business in Oman focuses on the provision of Supply Chain Management Services to the Oil & Gas industry through a joint venture partnership.
 
You will be responsible for the provision of strategic and technical support in order to formulate and develop health, safety and environmental policies and procedures with respect to operational activities. By offering expert advice, you will influence and support Senior Management in the maintenance and continuous improvement of safety standards.
 
Leading the HSE Department, you will be required to develop and implement HSE policies and procedures for existing business activities and with respect to new businesses and processes and audit compliance with legal and company and/or customer standards on safety matters. In addition, you will assure compliance with company safety policies and procedures and facilitate the development of an annual HSE management training program.
 
As the successful candidate, you will have university-level knowledge of Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental management systems, qualified to degree or diploma level and have attained chartered status in IOSH. With a minimum of ten years experience, at least five of which have been spent in senior management ideally in transport, heavy industry, construction, oil and gas or similar. You will be an excellent communicator and negotiator, with first-class mentoring and coaching skills. In-depth knowledge of best practice surrounding safety and environmental issues is essential. The successful candidate must be fluent in English.
