Health & Safety Manager

My client is a leading high-street electrical and home furnishings retailer with a network of over 250 retail stores and 9 distribution facilities across the UK. A new position of 'Health & Safety Manager' has been created to provide expert support and advice on Health & Safety matters throughout the organisation and supply chain. You will implement new health & safety management systems in line with 18001, ensure that policies and procedures are updated and communicated, and work closely with Senior Managers across the business to influence health & safety culture change.

For this role you will hold a minimum qualification of NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) and Grad IOSH status. You will have previous, relevant experience in Health & Safety Management, as well as a background in a retail/logistics environment. You will also have strong communication skills, in particular the ability to influence staff at all levels (particularly Managers).

This role is predominantly based in the Manchester area but there will be some UK-wide travel.
