Health & Safety Advisor

A part time health and safety auditing role has arisen to work for a local authority in South London. It is a short term temporary contract until end of March 2012. You will be working three days per week and will be responsible for planning and completing audits, compiling reports (including recommendations) and communicating results to senior management. You will be auditing the effectiveness of their health and safety policies, strategies, management system, systems, practices and performance standards, then providing guidance on areas of emerging risk with solutions for reducing and removing risk. You will work outside normal office hours and on your own, as required by the demands of the service, both within and outside of the local authority, including visiting sites alone. You must have at least Grad IOSH status and be an experienced Health & Safety Consultant with experience of developing, implementing and maintaining Health, Safety and Welfare policies, strategies, practices, systems, audits within large, complex organisations.
