SHEQ Manager

A major sub-contractor who are contracted to design, construct and commission additions to, renewals of and new-build high voltage electricity substations throughout South West England and South Wales is seeking to appoint a SHEQ Manager.

This visible position within the Electricity Alliance will be tasked with:-

• Developing SHES Standards and Policies consistent with National Grid and Partners policies/standards.
• Defining and documenting the Alliance QA system.
• For all work undertaken by Alliance and stakeholders, defining competencies and evaluating staff against those competencies to ensure that people have the right training, skills and capabilities.
• Provision of audit of Quality and SHES within the Area as part of a SHES/Q management service, ensuring continuous improvement and sharing best practice

It is expected that applicants will have senior management experience and have strong working appreciation of National Grid and industry safety rules. Degree calibre applicants are desired.
