We are looking to recruit an experienced NEBOSH qualified regional health & safety manager to work for a telecoms company based in the London region.
We have a number of office locations within the Greater London area that could be used as base of operations and flexibility would be required regarding travel between sites. It is assumed that you have prior health and safety management experience from within either the telecoms, construction or general utilities industry and NRSWA knowledge would be an advantage along with ideally, a NEBOSH or equivalent qualification. It is essential that you have experience imposing Health & Safety across a multi site environment and while exposure to the telecoms industry would certainly be an advantage, if you have experience working across multiple sites within general utilities or construction then you will also be considered. You will implement a number of processes into the business and ensure that they are fully compliant with current legislation and will be tasked with the implementation and documentation of H&S policy across this business region. You will be tasked with reviewing and implementing H&S process for a region of installation engineers working primarily with residential customers. The role requires somebody with strong communication and change management skills who can use the correct blend of tact and persuasiveness to ensure this fast moving, KPI driven business reaches targets within a safe and efficient environment. For this role it is preferable that you hold the New Roads and Streets Works Act (NRSWA). If you don't currently hold this you will have to be flexible to go on a course to gain this necessary qualification. The Role -To manage the interface on all health, safety and environmental matters and to ensure that risks are controlled, monitored and mitigated as far as reasonably practicable. - Hold the New Roads and Streets Works Act (NRSWA), or willing to gain it. - NEBOSH or similar recognised qualification -To ensure that advice and support provided, helps to improve service delivery, maintaining a strong internal customer focus in support of operational teams. -To provide support on all health, safety and environmental aspects of all group activities. -Ensure that managers and employees are aware of and adhere to their health, safety and environmental responsibilities. -You are responsible for developing the Health, Safety and Environmental risk management strategy and ensuring effective implementation of the risk management plan. -Ensure that the company's policies and procedures relating to health, safety and environmental matters are adhered to at all times and appropriate audit mechanisms are in place to monitor against these disciplines. -Prepare and present reports, information and statistics on health and safety and environmental matters and attend board, committee and other meetings as required. - Assist with the preparation and delivery of training in relation to company H&S policy. - Line management of H&S auditors Position offers company vehicle and holiday pay and will be employed on a permanent PAYE basis.
