Your task will be to ensure that the Western Link Joint Venture operates to the highest standards of Safety, Health, Environment, Security and Quality (SHESQ) in developing and delivering the HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) c2GW land/ submarine cable & Converter Stations
Using your proven ability to make persuasive presentations, you’ll coach and inspire managers and staff to deliver legislative compliance and to aim for continuous improvement. In addition to managing a geographically dispersed SHESQ team, you’ll also actively lead ensuring CDM & ISM delivery throughout the construction and commissioning of the link and on subsequent onshore & offshore construction projects, ensuring that everyone involved buys into the principles of Safety by Design.
To succeed, you’ll need a track record of success at management level, ideally in the high voltage and/or marine environment. Effective communication, negotiating and influencing skills are a must, together with strong commercial acumen. Your degree, HNC, NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent should be backed up by membership of a relevant professional body. Naturally, you’ll also have a proven talent for effectively managing people, finances and change.
