A exciting career opportunity has arisen for a EMEA Environmental, Health and Safety Manager to work across a high profile account. This role can be based from either Germany or France and will focus on the deploying, supporting and managing the health, safety and environmental risk management strategy that enables the business to comply with cultural, client and statutory requirements in its EMEA Facilities Management operations.
Key duties will include: Leading in health, safety and environmental issues, ensuring that the EHS Management System and Standards are applied across the managed client properties. Ensuring alignment and compliance with all client EHS policies and practice Facilitating the delivery and management of EHS at account level, supporting account staff to achieve compliance and performance reporting against all company & client set EHS metrics and KPI’s Delivering a programme for audit, measurement and reporting EHS performance against agreed standards. Promoting a positive, proactive EHS culture and influencing stakeholders. Implementing practical risk management strategies. Skills required: Competent in, and understanding of, facilities management processes and their systems. Familiar with instruction and implementation of health and safety systems and processes. Proven track record in working within a EHS management role within environment. Practical working knowledge of up-to-date EHS tools and techniques. Experience of advising senior management at policy level. Significant practical experience of problem solving H & S issues in a dynamic/diverse environment. Experience of investigating incidents and reporting objectively. Experience of managing change. It is essential that candidates are fluent in English plus either German or French. All candidates applying should be GRAD IOSH (or equivalent) and have a proven track record in working within a client facing role.
